Field trip to Jyväskylä, Part I
Today, it was time for the long awaited trip to Jyväskylä. the Bus came to our school grounds at 8.40 Am, and the trip only took about thirty minutes, so we had plenty of time reserved for Jyväskylä. We arrived at viitaniemi campus and started to take a look around. the First thing we noticed was how big the school actually seemed when comparing to ours. We quickly made our way in to one of the (many) IT-classrooms and started doing an assigned task with a 3D modeling program. The Czechs were much more familiar with that type of programs than were, so we let them do all the "hard work" (hehe). After the modeling phase, we all went into the workshop and watched as an engineer used the machinery in the workshop to make the exact same model piece from a lump of metal. Yeah, it was pretty cool.

After that was done we went for the school cafeteria to have ourselves some lunch. I was astonished by the amount of different foods and spices that you could choose from. Needless to say, I enjoyed that lunch very much. When we had filled our stomachs, it was time to go and visit the Jyväskylä University campus, but I will save that story for the next blog.
